About
Artist Inger Taylor teases the mind to touch the intangible with her
abstract style. She integrates color, shape, form, and texture to create
works which evoke intuitive responses. She removes ambiguity by
turning from the world around her, and paints trusting her intuition to
guide her hands.
Inger prefers to paint large, and uses fingers, brushes, palette knives,
and other tools to bring paint to the canvas. Some themes are simple
and elemental while others are chaotic and frenzied. Her intent is to stir
the human spirit with her art.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Inger lives and paints in the
San Diego area. Though she began painting very early in life, she has
embraced her style over the past twelve years. Inger earned her B.A. and
M.Ed. from Penn State. She shares her life with her husband and three
daughters.
