Moving on!

The recovery process is a tricky one. Two steps forward and one step back. Information is valuable, but I’m not going to let it bring me down. I did last night, but I had to shake that off. The neurosurgeon told me they were able to resect the large tumor, but the two smaller tumors, referred to as daughters had to be left behind to mitigate risk. I understand the risk reward didn’t pencil and if it’s too difficult to determine between healthy tissue and tumor tissue, the tumor needs to be left behind to ensure neurological function remains intact.
This is where more patience is necessary. Maybe when pathology comes in that will lead us to next steps. Maybe we follow the daughter tumors with imaging alone. Right now I’m focusing on being able to walk, visit with my family, and healing.
One step at a time. Thanks for taking these steps with me. It’s a lot easier to kick ass if I know I’ve got company!
Thanks again for all the love, support, prayers, and good vibes!
xoxo,
Inger
